So I haven't "blogged" in a bit. I'm sitting at work with NOTHING to work on, but 8 minutes and I can go home. I've had several health problems lately, and I'm sure some of them are directly related to the fact that I am slightly overweight. And rediculously unhappy with that. I found out I have high blood pressure, and I'm unhappy with that. Things have become very stressful at my house, and I don't quite understand why.
Matt and I were married on April 4th, at 1 pm. My cousin is holding our wedding pictures, for whatever reason. I can access them online, however, I can only buy prints of them. I can't share with myspace, or facebook, or relatives who didn't get to come. Which pisses me off. So I'm fixing to lose my cool there as well. I emailed him yet again today. Pretty soon I will be losing cool with him. All I want is the pictures that I feel I have a right to, considering he was paid money for it and I received no goods. I'm angry.
Corban has clinic again tomorrow, I know his weight will be an issue. We've been slacking on his cpt, but I think he may run and jump a bit for that. I have got to do better, for him. He deserves it. He hasn't gained anything since we were up there last, in fact I'm guessing he lost weight. He ran a fever today, and I fear we're looking at bronchitis or something.
Courtleigh's father will graduate from the Marine Corps on May 22nd, and Courtleigh will screen for Kindergarten. She graduated Pre-Kindergarten today. I'm SOOO excited for her to start Kindy, but so afraid of how well I will take her being in school all day long. I don't know if I'm ready for this. It makes me ACHE for another baby. Although right now it's not the time, and I know it's not. I just keep taking the pills and telling myself no. Suppress those thoughts and desires. Baby could have CF anyway.
I have come to the conclusion I really miss my friends. And the ones that I've had over the years just seem to fall away. I can name one that's been there since Kindergarten, and one that came around just in the last year. I'm glad she did though, cause she's a great friend, and was the best bridesmaid I had at my wedding. Considering the other wanted nothing to do with it, and admitted it to me, the MORNING of my wedding. :( Oh well.

April 4th is fast arriving. What do i have left you may ask? EVERYTHING. LITERALLY.

Anyway...yeah idk..

I wish I had more done. I get a little more done each day...Yet I keep thinking about more that needs to be done. Guest book will be a plate..totally untraditional but cute. Everyone will sign it. I'm making most of everything. Invitations included.
Memo: I need to organize the little thingy that tells you what's happening and who/what ya know...remember to tell me that.

BAD ME

So, Idk if I posted it yet. But a few weeks ago, I received another package from my SP! It was so cool. Was I think 7 or 8 skeins of Mission Falls 1824 Cotton and a bottle of body cream/hand lotion from Bath and Body Work that was Enchanted Orchid. I LOVE IT! I haven't knitted with Cotton yet, but It will be GREAT for the #88 dish cloth I'm going to start! Its just the right color. I will try to get photos on here tonight, but since I'm at work, without my memory card, I hope Flickr will let me put them up here. I have gotten the order put in for the next package I will send to MY sp! Super Excited about that!! :)

My Christmas Gift arrived a month late! On Saturday January 24th, We welcomed home Teegan. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy. She is ADORABLE! I'm on the prowl for a pattern for a sweater for her, because the day we brought her home, a freakin' cold front came through and the poor little girl freezes when she goes potty. She's only 8 weeks old, so it's seemingly impossible to find a pattern for a teeny pup, and I'm not a professional, nor near intermediate knitter yet. Kelly says, maybe having to modify a pattern for my first sweater attempt won't be a good experience. I kinda have to agree. Anyway....Just remembered that I hadn't blogged about my SP package and I was excited about it!!!

blah! Omg...things are CRAZY! My dad lost his job the week of Christmas..throwing my finances for a loop. HOLY COW! Our wedding plans are now changing..and Heaven knows where/how. We're moving to North Carolina sometime around May or so. I got the official go ahead to plan wedding for February 14th!! YAY! That would be awesome. Maybe I can pull it off. IDK though. money being tight I don't know what it will be like. I picked the dress, 100 bucks. that's awesome.
Kelly and I decided to do a KAL, and she's making a sweater/vest thing for her baby, and I'm making one for my kiddos teddy bear. So far I have about half the back done...but I don't seem to be getting anywhere on the arm holes...i just don't have the energy to do it tonight. Started a scarf for a friend, get about 1/3 done, and I'm like, Oh this is AWFUL...so I junked it. And I was knitting two colors together, and had tried 3 seperate patterns...No matter how I tried it I couldn't get the colors seperated, and had to throw the whole skein away. (2 skeins really...but it's okay. they were on sale for cheap...I'm not too heart broken.) I know that's yarn abuse, but there was no hope for it! LOL! TERRIBLE! Anyway...I super need to start shopping for my SPs next gift! woohoO! Hope I make a good choice... anyway...off I go, I better start working again

I got a giftie from my SP! I got it On December 24th. GREAT DAY TO GET IT!!! I tell ya. Wrapped and all! I put it under my tree hehehehe. It was a scarf package. The yarn and instruction to make a BEAUTIFUL plume scarf. I can't wait to get all my wedding gifts knitted up so I can start it! Beautiful red yarn, now all I need is the red coat to match it. Looks like a shopping trip is in ORDER! HOORAY!!! I love it!!!

So, I got an email that my SP got her package, and she liked it! Bonus!! I'm super excited! I can't wait to send another. Christmas is fast approaching. Things have been rough though..I did finally start knitting in the round...i love it! Corban's is having tubes put in on Wednesday, and then we have to start on his CF issues again. Cause I'm sure we're in for that soon again. Sickness being about it's bound to happen. Anyway...I hadn't written in a while so I thought I better just update. I shipped out my first SP package today. I haven't done much knitting in the past two weeks. I can't really do it at home, because EVERYONE here is too immature to leave it alone. I expect it of my kids....however of my fiance I don't. Sometimes I want to kick him in the head. He can be so obnoxious. My job changed, so I do a lot more at work...and then come home earlier, so I'm better able to keep house..and spend time with the kids.
Corban cultured Psuedomonas Aeruginosa again, which could be a bad thing. We only have one of the antibiotics required, because his dr went on vacation a week early. So when they KNOW our insurance requires a Prior Authorization to get it, they still call it in and expect us to be on it. So I threw a fit. Yeah, imagine that. Me? Throwing a fit? Never! Yeah right. In any case, I did it. And I'm not sorry. I am sorry however, that Cystic Fibrosis doesn't FREAKING take Holidays. Must be nice for the dr's to get their week worth when their patients don't get any. Wonderful. Not even the PA can't authorize it. And that makes me VERY angry. I have wanted all week to go see my aunt who is in the hospital, but I'm terrified to go because Corban cultured the PA. And I would hate for him to get anything else from the hospital. Hopefully she'll get to go home tomorrow and next weekend I can go up there and visit.
A week from today is Corban's consult for his tubes. I hope that goes successfully, and we get them done within the next 2 weeks. Too much to deal with, his ears always being infected and him constantly being sick. anyway, back to cleaning and bathing i go.

The word has returned to my vocabulary. Corban was diagnosed with his 4th ear infection since September. At which point I decided it's time. I don't care what everyone else says, When he can't go but 2 weeks without one, then it's time. Consult on December 5th, surgery to follow shortly after, but unsure of when. I just know that he has to feel crappy 95% of the time anyway, so why make him be that way 100% of the time because of the stupid ear infections? I'll just fix it now. Courtleigh was getting her tubes right about this same time when she got hers 3 years ago. In fact her consult was December 13, 2005. Weird. Anyway, I finally my shipment of stuff in for My SP, so I'll be sending it out Thursday! WOOHOO! Still trying to figure out what all to put in it. I also got my first set of DPN's to learn to knit in the round with. SUPER excited. But now that my hours have changed AGAIN, I'll have to readjust my time at home to include some knitting time! :) Anyway, I have much work to be done and much notes to be taking on AP so, I better go...

I got my secret pal today! And I'm so excited! I also started Kelly's Christmas gift lastnight! It's coming out great! I'm so excited. I got tags on my new van today, cost WAY TOO much. Things at work are going okay tonight. I found out today they want to teach me how to do some new stuff! I'm super excited. A step in the CAREER direction! I'm so excited. Things are going to start looking up for a good while now I hope. I found the dress of my dreams lastnight, and got started REALLY planning the wedding. I picked a date. April 4th, 2009 at 2:30 PM, I will become Mrs. Matt. I'm so excited!
Courtleigh was invited to her first sleep over today! I'm so nervous that she won't stay all night, but I hope she does. I know she'll love it and have a total BLAST! And then it will be our turn to return the favor. Which I guess I'll need to get with Ames on and see what you do for a little girls sleep over. Anyway, I better get back to work lol, before I get in troubles. Knitting at work. WOOT! LOOOOOVE my knitting!!!

I ordered a set of dpns tonight and a whole bunch of yarn! YAY! I even ordered part of a gift for my SP! Im super excited but nervous about it. I hope I can be as crafty and fun as Kelly is. Im sure she'll help me. I need to learn it. The wedding may help that cuz Im gonna try to do most of it myself. Should be fun.
I'm so excited to get the new knitting supplies! WOOHOO!! I can't wait to get my SP and be able to start sharing my joy with other people! OOOHHH mary kay opportunity! I could give her some MK product too! WOOHOO! Anyway...I have a very fussy little boy who wants to hug his mommy, and I better tend to him. I just wanted to share my excited to learn knitting in the round with the DPNs I ordered! YIPPEE!

I finally finished Matt's beanie lastnight! I'm so excited. He actually tried it on and wore it for a while!!! I was so happy. I haven't asked him if he wore it to work today, but I hope that he did!!! I have to get some pics put up. But I have them up on Ravelry!! Smashlydawn check em out. 1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I like Malabrigo Worsted but I like anything that's a natural fiber. I definately don't love the way that acrylic feels.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I bought a wicker basket until I can find the perfect fit for it, so it's all not laying on the floor or in a bag.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I have only been knitting about 4 months, and my girlfriend and I actually sat one night at work on the internet and I learned how by video.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
I'm working on a Knit Picks wishlist currently :)

5. What's your favorite scent?
I love vanilla, coconut, and hazlenut.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
I do, but I'm trying to lose lots of weight before my wedding. I love me some fudge though...mmm...

I like to TRY to sew, and I also love to try to figure out how to rearrange my house!

I like ANY music, and my computer and stereo can DEFINATELY play MP3s.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
I love purple and pink, and I don't really dislike very many colors.

I have two children. My boyfriend and I are getting married in March. My son is 1, and he has Cystic Fibrosis, my daughter is 4 and she's just a typically 4 year old going on 90. We don't have any pets, but I can't wait to move so we can have some!!!

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I would wear them if I could find a color that I just fell in love with. But I'm not picky..

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I recently tried a beanie, and I'm just started a baby blanket. So far I have to say I love to knit anything, but definately haven't been doing it long enough to have a favorite! However, I have discovered I do NOT like seaming. Can't wait to learn to knit in the round.

13. What are you knitting right now?
Dishcloths, a baby blanket, a scarf, and I just finished a beanie.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Of course I do!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I'm up for anything. I have only worked with one set of circulars and aluminum. The circulars didn't have a very flexible cable.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
I dont own a yarn winder or a swift.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
About a month old I think.

18. What is your favorite holiday? What winter holiday do you observe?
My favorite holiday is definately Christmas, because it really teaches how important it is to give of your heart than it is to be receiving. I observe Christmas.

I collect jewelery, and shoes. :) Haha...i love pretty much everything.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
Stephanie Pearl-McPhee books. I heard she was hilarious and I would love to see for myself. I would love to have some knitpicks circulars, and some DPN's. As far as yarn goes, I'd love to try some silk! I don't have any magazine subscriptions yet, but I'm working on that.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
I would love to learn to knit in the round, and since I just started not too long ago, I haven't mastered that yet. But I'm so excited to learn it!!!

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
I haven't knit any socks yet, but I'd like to try it someday. I wear a size 9-10 shoe.

getting married?!

SOOOOOO, I'm super excited. Matt and I are getting married! WOOHOO! He never really asked, but it was a mutual decision. I figure, the 16th will be 3 years, and we have a baby together, why the heck not? So I'm planning a wedding. Not a HUGE one, but a nice one, that I might just turn into a casual blue jean wedding, cause I love my jeans. But who knows, I may invest in a dress of sorts. Now on to the ring part. I'm almost wondering whether we should really worry about them. will he really wear it? i know I will but I don't know about him.
Anyway so I'm super excited about that!! And I'm getting FURTHER on the beanie! I'd say I'm about 50-60% done!!! I need to update my ravelry page on that!!! But Wow I'm so excited!!!

Halloween

So we took the kids trick or treating lastnight. It was pretty cool. Courtleigh was Hannah Montana, Corban was a giraffe. We were supposed to have gone with Matt's mom, but ended up in Derby at KFC at 7 pm. LOL! Pretty good. I didn't really feel like going to a bunch of strangers houses anyway, but we went. Courtleigh got a BUNCH of tootsie rolls. Those seemed to be the favorite this year. Last year was Snickers. As long as they had fun that's what matters. It was fun to see how excited she was to go.
I finally got the ribbing on Matt's beanie done, and now onto the Stockinette portion of it. I hope he likes it, and it fits him. I worry about it. I was going to double the ribbing portion and make the ear cover longer, but I decided that I HATE ribbing so I didn't lmao. Anyway...I better get back to knitting....and working lmao.

So I started Matt's new Beanie lastnight, making it for him for Christmas, and it's literally killing me. I have so much trouble with ribbing, and since I just started doing it it's even more rough. But I like the pattern and I like that I'm going to be able to say I made this for you, with love in my heart, and in my hands. I want to post pictures of my progress, but I'm not sure how to do that yet, so I'm working on it. :)

Dishcloths and more

I finally got a stash of yarn built up, and started using some of it! I made one dishcloth I like to call the Mini-Rag, cause it's smaller than normal. I started the second today.
I decided to try to make a beanie for Matt for Christmas, and Corban as well, and then Courtleigh a scarf and beanie to match the scarf I got last year. Granted they won't be the same because my MIL crocheted my scarf, but I can always make myself one like hers. Also going to try to knit my friend Cole a scarf in purple and green. I need to get a BETTER set of Circs, because they pair I have are crap.
My index finger is tender. but i'm not stopping. Anyway, just felt I needed to update a bit, so there ya go. LOL, back to knitting!

New Blog

So, I never update my myspace blog anymore, cause it's just...weird. So I decided to make a new one. Friend of mine has one for her knitting page and I've decided that it's a good idea. So here we are.
I'm just making this one kinda simple to get started, but once we get net hooked up at home, we'll be good to go and i'll start writing more oftn. Maybe it'll help me be better at things in life. :)
